Before You Print: A Little Tip to Keep Your Photos Looking Their Best
I want to share something honestly with you — and I hope you take it as a friendly heads-up.
Some places simply don’t print photos very well, especially when you go even a little bit larger.
The colours can turn darker, greener or greyish, and the sharpness can soften.
When that happens, it might look like the photos weren’t taken well…
but it’s actually the printing quality — not the photography.
We put so much heart into creating your images.
You prepared beautifully, and I edited every photo with care to keep the colours warm and true.
So if a print comes out dull or muddy, it really takes away from the memory we’re trying to preserve, right?
If you’re printing anything bigger,
I’d recommend skipping the big chain kiosks inside supermarkets or office-supply stores.
They’re convenient for quick 4×6 prints,
but once you enlarge your photo, the colour accuracy and clarity usually drop quite a bit.
Here are a few good-value, reliable places that consistently print beautifully:
Downtown Camera
Graination
Total Image Works
They keep the colours accurate and the details crisp,
so your photos look just as lovely in print as they do on your screen.
If you’re unsure where to print or what size works best, feel free to ask me anytime.
I’m always happy to help — I just want your memories to stay as beautiful as the day we captured them.
